TEXAS

Newsletter 1, March, 2011

We have three months now under our belt as the only ASA Security Officers in Texas. The goal is to increase our number and that of our client list here in Texas. First we need to take care of business and provide a high level of service to our current client, SGSC. This is so we can be secure in offering SGSC as a reference to prospective clients.

As our team members have changed, we need to pull together , as a team, to reach the goal of looking for new business six months from the date we started in Texas. This will provide new opportunities for growth for those of you who would like to increase your responsibilities and compensation.
There is also growth opportunity with SGSC. Currently we are manning up to provide them security services at 7 manufacturing facilities in six states. There has been some talk that if ASA performs at the level promised and expected, SGSC would consider the company for providing security services at some other SGSC facilities. Indeed, it might be that we have to get that invitation, or one to provide additional service (s) at current SGSC facilities, to consider our initial goal accomplished before we begin to solicit new business.

Of course we would not turn down any opportunities that came our way while we pursue that initial goal. Anyone who clues us into an opportunity for a security contract that results in new work for us will be compensated with a finders fee or a commission for the part they played in bringing us that opportunity. I cannot give you a dollar figure because it would be dependent on the size and length of the contract.

ASA - A DYNAMIC COMPANY
The company has already grown much in its eleven years under the management of William and Michelle Siez. Their base of operations is in Atlanta, Georgia where they have grown from a construction site, that William manned, to a company of over 300 security officers. Their clients there while not all recognizable names to us here in Texas represent big business in that part of the South and include:

BENEFITS
The owners are working on providing their employees with some good benefits. They have already offered insurance from AFLAC, Direct Deposit and Holiday Pay. None of these benefits are required of the company by the State of Texas, it is something the Siez's choose to do for their employees. They plan to offer more as the company grows and can afford it.
The recent and continuing problems with the Pasadena Post Office and the delivery of our checks at a consistent time has resulted in an executive decision by the company. Henceforward all payroll checks will be sent to your bank for direct deposit or to your home if you chose to not use Direct Deposit. We encourage you to take advantage of the benefit of Direct Deposit - no more chasing down the check, the hassle of getting it cashed and while it still will cost you some money to do Direct Deposit ($2.00 per check), it will be considerably cheaper than the banks or check cashing places charge. It is convenient, safe and your money is there when you need it.

REGISTRATION
You have all been asked to fill out the forms to be sent to the State of Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Board to be licensed as a Non-Commissioned Officer. This is a time sensitive matter and they must be sent to Atlanta as soon as possible so we can collect them all and send your paperwork with the necessary fees to Austin. There is a deadline on this so please hurry. The company will front the money for the fees (except fingerprint fees - that is the responsibility of those who need them, to get it done and give them to your Supervisor along with the proper PSB forms you need to register, transfer, update and or renew your license to be a Security Officer with American Security Associates, Inc. The fee amount in your particular case will be reimbursed to the company via payroll deductions

TEAM WORK
Recently we have had some team members unable to come to work for various reasons including a hospital stay, a close family member's illness or matters relating to children. Other officers have stepped forward to insure the company fulfills its obligation to keep the posts manned. We appreciate your assistance. With the continued cooperation of our group acting as a community means you will be provided such help when you need it. Remember to limit the times you ask off for work, the company cannot operate efficiently if this policy is abused and in doing so you place your employment at risk.

PROVIDING SUN PROTECTION
S/Os are reminded to protect themselves from the hot, persistent Texas sun. We want you out of the Guard Shack welcoming employees and challenging those who try to come into the facilities we are protecting, but do it safely. Keep an eye on traffic from all ways and protect against the sun.
In Deer Park there is little physical protection from the sun when checking employee's IDs at arm's length. The Guard Shack is on the wrong side of where drivers are located when coming into the plant. Jason Blake, Schwan's Chief Executive for Texas is going to move the guard shack to the other side of the driveway to assist in providing our officers maximum support in doing their jobs. This will be a temporary arrangement as a new gate and guard shack is in the works for the location.

BACKGROUND CHECKS
Those of you who have not provided your Supervisor a Harris County background check are at risk of not fulfilling your employment responsibilities. If you are one of those who have not done so, get your background into your Supervisor ASAP so your employment record files are complete - especially now that we are all being registered with the state.

APPEARANCE
Remember your appearance is the first thing that tells those with whom you are interacting how sharp you are. Uniforms should be cleaned and pressed, shoes should have a shine on them and a smile from you helps a lot too. Be friendly and helpful, but not too friendly and helpful. You should treat all people equally, civilly, being polite and courteous. SGSC conducts audits of their employee's performance and of its contractors - so look good, be sharp, and get exceptional audit results!

EVERY DAY - EVERY TIME - EVERY ONE
Check employee IDs with the three Es system and you will be doing it right!. Remember to match picture with face taking into account some of the pictures were taken years ago.

FORMS
If you need a form and cannot find it at the post and have access to the internet, you can soon get it on my website: http://www.celticowboy.com. There is also a map of the area showing the location of both sites.

JUST DO IT !
Michelle and William are inviting you to be a part of this dynamic, growing company, to be a part of its family of security professionals and to grow your career and income with it as it moves on up the ladder of success.

Michelle and William are counting on you to help them deliver the level of service that will add to their reputation and bring the company growth opportunities in Texas for you and them.
